Located in a beautiful scenic valley surrounded by high rocky hills overlooking the lake,
Relax and enjoy in North Kawartha, Long Lake Cottages and Trailer Park, portal to Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park (KHSS), 50 Km. NE of Peterborough Ontario and 52 Km. SSW of the Mineral Capital of Canada ( Bancroft ). KHSS is the newest and largest Provincial Park in Ontario south of Algonquin Provincial Park and has vast areas of exposed bedrock between Palaeozoic limestone bedrock and Precambrian granite bedrock, situated along the southern edge of the Canadian Shield (an area mostly composed of igneous rock which relates to its long volcanic history), KHSS is relatively an undeveloped area encompassing 37,587 hectares and features a rugged rolling landscape of small lakes, wetlands, forests and rocky barrens.
